The Surin is set on the beach overlooking Pansea Bay - famous for its crystal clear waters and pristine white sand. An away-from-it-all seafront retreat, The Surin offers cottages tucked into tropical gardens and coconut groves, while providing easy access to the island's attractions. Dine with your feet in the sand. Snorkel at the nearby reef. Explore the coast and World Heritage Site 'Phang Nga Bay' on a luxury yacht... This is life - the way it should be.
Formerly known as The Chedi, The Surin is nestled in peaceful seclusion on the island's finest shore, Pansea Beach. The 108 thatched cottages sit under a shelter of coconut palms on landscaped slopes that gently descend to meet the white sand beach and are connected by elevated walkways. The appeal of the spacious 89 one-bedroom and 19 two-bedroom cottages is further enhanced with private verandahs, secluded sun decks, and handcrafted teak floors. The Surin complements the rustic serenity of Phuket with its warm spirit of true island hospitality, a unique tropical paradise.
Thailand – “The land of a thousand smiles” comprises 76 provinces. Fondly referred to as the Pearl of the South, Phuket, located off the country’s south-western coastline is the only island province in Thailand and is 867 km from the capital, Bangkok. The island runs 48 km (34 miles) north to south, and 21 km (16 miles) east to west and is connected to Phang Nga province by a motor bridge in the north. Phuket is surrounded by the azure Andaman Sea, which joins the Indian Ocean to the south. Aside from its crystal watery surroundings and powder white beaches, Phuket is an island blessed with the natural beauty of mountains and valleys with the Khao Phra Thaeo National Park protecting more than 20 square kilometers of rainforest.
Phuket is the most cosmopolitan town with the highest developed infrastructure in Thailand. Tourism has inadvertently become a main source of living but much of the country’s customs remains rooted in present – day society. Activities are diverse with the island’s colourful mix of age-old traditions and inevitable commercial modernization. Sino-Portuguese and European influences are apparent, particularly in the architecture of Phuket Town.
